Full job description
Amuse is a platform that helps people discover local arts and culture. Think of it as your personal travel guide: but instead of trying to lecture you for an hour, it enriches your daily life with little nuggets of information, even when you’re not on vacation.
What you’ll do
- Contribute to the content development pipeline that makes the Amuse platform (the app for curious people) unique by jumping in feet first
- Learn our style and tools in order to efficiently and accurately assess the quality of content related to historic landmarks and cultural institutions, with guidance from the Head of Content & Partnerships
- Review AI-generated trivia and fun facts to ensure quality and content accuracy
- Ensure all platform content meets our company standards, conducting research on your own to fill in missing information where necessary
- Collaborate with the Head of Content & Partnerships to troubleshoot and improve content generation tools
- Show a strong desire to learn about new tools and techniques, and have an eagerness to share new ideas and solutions
What you need
- Excellent research and written communication skills
- Excitement about AI-powered tools and how they can support your learning and workflow
- Willingness to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with leadership
- Ability to think critically and evaluate your own work against company goals
- Comfort using content management and project management programs for data entry, review, and tracking project progress
- Interest in history and education
Who you are
- You want to learn and grow among an excellent team who combine a diverse set of skills to create a new digital product
- You care about quality and pay attention to detail
- You’re highly adaptable and can adjust easily to changes in project needs and deadlines
- You welcome feedback and see it as an opportunity to grow
- You focus on solutions, asking not “if this can be done” but “how it can be done”
Bonus points if
- You’re excited about sharing stories that are both educational and entertaining using new technology
- You enjoy museums and learning about the world around you
- You have experience in small teams, startups, or collaborative projects outside of school/work
- You’ve worked on personal or school projects involving maps, geographic information, or data-heavy systems
- You’ve experimented with APIs, data modeling, or algorithm-driven projects
What we offer
- This is a part-time position with an expectation of 21 hours/week
- Fully remote / work from home, autonomous work environment
- Opportunity for growth and upward mobility
