Position Details
Status: Part-time, temporary
Hours: Flexible, up to 30 hours per week
Duration: 6 months
Location: Remote
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented part-time temporary employee to assist with reviewing, cleaning, and merging duplicate records in our Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) database. This role supports data accuracy and integrity by identifying duplicate constituent, organization, and related records and merging them according to established guidelines.Responsibilities:
- Review Salesforce NPSP records to identify potential duplicate contacts, accounts, and related records
- Compare duplicate records to determine the most accurate and complete data to retain
- Merge duplicate records in Salesforce following documented procedures and data standards
- Verify that related information (donations, relationships, activities, etc.) is retained correctly after merges
- Flag unclear or complex cases for review by staff
- Document work completed and maintain basic tracking of records reviewed and merged
- Other data hygiene tasks as assigned
- Follow data privacy, confidentiality, and security guidelines at all times
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large amounts of data
Qualifications:
- Comfort working in database systems or CRM platforms (Salesforce experience preferred but not required)
- Ability to follow written procedures and make consistent decisions
- Basic computer skills, including spreadsheets and web-based applications
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Ability to effectively interact with direct supervisors and peers, asking questions when necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Salesforce, Salesforce NPSP, or other nonprofit CRMs
- Familiarity with data quality, de-duplication, or database maintenance tasks
- Experience working in nonprofit or fundraising environments
