We are seeking a full-time Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our growing logistics team in Amsterdam. This role involves managing inbound and outbound shipments, processing transfers, and handling returns. You should be experienced and confident in these workflows from day one. As our operations expand, this position will offer opportunities to enhance your skills in logistics and inventory control while contributing to the future of our logistics in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive, verify, and record incoming deliveries.
· Prepare accurate, on-time outbound shipments.
· Maintain clear shipment documentation and system updates.
· Manage and track held inventory for customers, ship upon request.
· Handle all electronic components safely, following ESD procedures.
· Communicate daily with sales, purchasing, and logistics teams.
· Contribute to process improvements as the Amsterdam hub grows.
Qualifications & Requirements
· 3 to 5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics.
· Proficient with UPS, DHL, and FedEx for accurate shipping and return labels.
· Familiar with inventory control systems and ERP tools.
· Background in electronics or computer hardware is a plus.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
· Fluent in English (spoken and written); Dutch is a plus.
· Proactive and motivated to grow with NewPower.
· Initial training includes travel to the U.S. for hands-on experience with logistics teams.
· Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word; experienced in data entry.
Additional Information
Team Structure: This position will work closely with the Logistics Lead and the Quality Lead, and collaborate daily with the sales and purchasing teams.
Tools Used: The primary tools utilized include SharePoint, ERP systems, commercial invoice templates, and courier platforms such as DHL, UPS, and FedEx.
Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility may be required for urgent shipments.
Physical Requirements: Candidates must be able to lift to 20 kg and stand for extended periods during packing and receiving tasks.
Cleanliness: It is essential to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
